About the Role
Our client is seeking a part-time, experienced Bookkeeper to manage their financial records. This hybrid role, based in Plymouth , offers a flexible schedule combining office presence with remote working capabilities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and assisting with management accounts preparation. This is a vital role for ensuring the financial health and compliance of the business, offering a great opportunity for a meticulous individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
- Process payroll for a small number of employees.
- Ensure compliance with bookkeeping standards and assist with financial audits.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
