Brake Press Operator

Our client based in Sandy are looking for a Brake Press Operator on a permanent basis. There is a night shift which the hours of work are Monday - Thursday 1600 to 02.00 They also have a day shft which is 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday Job Purpose The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Press Brakes to accurately bend, shape, and form metal components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate CNC Press Brake machines to manufacture metal components to required specifications.
• Technical Compliance: Interpret and work accurately directly from engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto and off machinery safely.
• Quality Control: Perform checks to ensure high levels of precision, accuracy, and adherence to company quality standards.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
• Production Scheduling: Follow job schedules strictly to meet production deadlines.
• Teamwork: Work independently and collaborate effectively with the wider operations team. Person Specification: Skills & Experience Requirement Minimum 1 year of experience in CNC Press Brake setting and operation. Direct experience working with Amada machinery. Technical Skills Proven ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings. Hands-on manufacturing problem-solving skills. Attributes High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and a strict commitment to safety
