About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineer to join their fully remote technical operations team, ensuring the seamless delivery of content for the Arts & Entertainment sector. You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast systems and equipment from your home office. This role requires a deep understanding of broadcast technologies, signal flow, and IP networking to support live and pre-recorded productions. You will work in a collaborative, remote-first environment, contributing to the technical backbone that enables high-quality content distribution and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot broadcast equipment, including cameras, switchers, audio consoles, and transmission systems.
- Monitor broadcast feeds and ensure high-quality audio and video output.
- Implement and manage IP-based broadcast workflows and network infrastructure.
- Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance on broadcast equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute technical requirements for broadcasts.
- Stay updated on emerging broadcast technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or in a similar technical role within media.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast signal paths, video formats, and audio standards.
- Experience with IP networking protocols and broadcast over IP technologies.
- Proficiency with broadcast automation systems and content management systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure in a remote setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
