About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Broadcast Engineer to support their media operations in Plymouth . You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast equipment and systems, ensuring seamless transmission and high-quality audio-visual output. This role is critical for maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports their content creation and distribution. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio consoles, video switchers, and transmission systems.
- Monitor broadcast signals and systems, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on broadcast hardware and software.
- Assist with live broadcasts and studio productions, providing technical support as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging broadcast technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or in a similar technical role within the media industry.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast signal flow, audio/video standards, and networking principles.
- Proficiency with broadcast hardware and software, including vision mixers, sound desks, and playout systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
