Pay: £17.00–£19.00 per hour, depending on experience

Typical Hours: Approximately 40 - 47 hours per week

About Us:

Action Wall Ties Ltd is an established specialist structural repair company with over 25 years' experience, working on residential and commercial properties throughout London and the South East.

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Construction Worker / Builder to join our team and train in our specialist structural repair methods.

Previous structural repair experience is not required. We are looking for someone with a good general building or masonry background, practical ability and, most importantly, the willingness to learn and develop.

Multi-Skilled Construction Worker / Builder - The Role:

Working as part of a small specialist team, you will receive training in a wide range of structural repair techniques.

Career Progression includes Skilled Structural Repair Operative to Senior Operative to Team Leader.

Our projects are located throughout London and the South East, so the role involves daily travel and early starts, typically around 5:00 – 6:00 a.m.

Multi-Skilled Construction Worker / Builder – The Responsibilities:

• Brickwork and masonry repairs

• Masonry realignment and repointing

• Structural reinforcement and masonry strengthening

• Installation of structural restraints and anchors

• Diamond drilling and specialist fixing

• Concrete repairs

• Operating specialist structural repair equipment

Multi-Skilled Construction Worker / Builder – What We Are Looking For:

• Have experience in brickwork, building, masonry or general construction alteration

• Have good practical skills and be confident using construction tools and equipment

• Be willing to learn new and specialist repair techniques

• Take pride in producing high-quality work

• Be reliable and able to work effectively as part of a small team

• Hold a full UK driving licence

• Hold a valid CSCS card, or be willing to obtain one as a requirement of the position

• Be comfortable with early starts and daily travel

• Ideally live around Canterbury, Herne Bay, Thanet or the surrounding area

Multi-Skilled Construction Worker / Builder - Training & Career Progression:

This is not simply another general building position. We are looking for someone who wants to develop a long-term career in specialist structural repair.

Full training will be provided in Action Wall Ties' specialist methods, systems and equipment.

As your knowledge, practical ability and experience develop, there will be the opportunity to progress from Skilled Structural Repair Operative to Senior Operative and ultimately Team Leader, taking greater responsibility for projects and supervising a small site team.

Pay will increase to reflect your developing specialist skills and level of responsibility.
