Building Physics Engineer

We are looking for a Building Physics Engineer to join our team at Silcock Leedham, an RSK Group company. This is a full time and permanent position that would suit someone who is ready to start their career with a dynamic team.

zed. are a building services engineering consultancy based in the Horsforth area of Leeds. Our team has grown to around 30 staff and counting. We have positioned ourselves as an industry expert in BREEAM, energy and sustainability.

Our Building Physics Engineers support our team by writing reports, develop their professional networks and provide sustainability designs. This is a great starting place for someone’s career. We are looking for someone who has got a relevant degree, good communication skills and someone who is able to work under their own initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of building physics, energy and parametric modelling projects.
• Assist with net zero, whole life carbon, sustainability and ESG assessments.
• Contribute to compliance and certification work, including Part L, EPCs and BREEAM.
• Undertake site surveys, building assessments, feasibility studies and technical reporting.
• Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues and project teams to support project delivery.
• Communicate technical information clearly through reports, presentations and meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant Degree qualified.
• IT Literate and good working knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with dynamic simulation software
• Demonstratable experience with different modelling software packages such as IES, TAS, CFD, Revit or Grasshopper
