The Opportunity
The Company is a highly regarded and rapidly expanding specialist consultancy, currently seeking an experienced Building Safety professional to join their Field Operations team. This is a confidential search for a pivotal role where you will act as the technical lead on-site, guiding high-rise residential clients through the complexities of the Building Safety Act 2022.
This is not a back-office compliance role. You will take full ownership of the end-to-end production of Building Safety Case Reports, combining physical site inspections with high-level strategic gap analysis. If you are looking for a role that offers genuine autonomy, nationwide exposure, and the chance to shape industry safety culture, this is it.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment & Analysis: Conduct in-depth building analyses and physical risk assessments on high-rise residential buildings across the UK.
- Safety Case Reports: Lead the creation of comprehensive, compliant Safety Case Reports, compiling actionable action plans for clients.
- Client Advisory: Act as the trusted, expert advisor to clients, providing clear feedback and guiding them through the successful implementation of safety measures.
- Compliance & Documentation: Assist clients in developing and maintaining robust Safety Management Systems in line with the latest regulatory standards.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor internal advisors through the review of safety management systems and the gap analysis process.
- Travel: Undertake nationwide travel to conduct on-site inspections and client meetings (all expenses covered).
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Proven background in Building Safety, Fire Safety, or a related compliance role within the residential or construction sectors.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A deep, working understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current building safety regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable, and commercially aware recommendations.
- Communication: Exceptional report-writing and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Mindset: A proactive, self-starting professional who is passionate about continuous improvement and staying ahead of industry best practices.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, Health & Safety, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
What the Company Offers
- Autonomy: The freedom to manage your own projects and lead client engagements without micro-management.
- Impact: A genuine opportunity to make a tangible difference to building safety standards in the UK.
- Career Progression: Join a growing consultancy with clear pathways for career development and senior leadership.
- Support: The backing of a dedicated team and a robust infrastructure to support your technical delivery.
