About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Building Services Engineer to join their team in Nottingham . This role is vital for ensuring that the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within construction projects are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet high standards of performance, efficiency, and compliance. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver integrated and sustainable building services solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to contribute to a variety of exciting projects and develop their expertise in a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, specify, and oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems .
- Ensure all building services installations comply with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design and installation queries.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of MEP works.
- Assist in the commissioning and testing of building services systems.
- Contribute to value engineering and sustainable design initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience as a Building Services Engineer or MEP Engineer in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of MEP design principles , relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP), and CIBSE guidelines.
- Understanding of sustainable building practices and energy efficiency.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
