About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Building Services Engineer to join their team in Cambridge . This role is vital for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems within construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify M&E systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of building services on construction sites.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of M&E installations.
• Liaise with architects, project managers, and contractors to resolve M&E related issues.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Building Services Engineer in the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with current building regulations, energy efficiency standards, and relevant codes.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) is essential.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for hybrid project work in Cambridge .
