Job Description
Conrad Consulting is currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an ambitious Building Surveyor to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to develop their career within a large, highly established professional services environment, working alongside experienced property professionals across a varied portfolio of projects and clients.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of building surveying instructions, combining professional and project-based work. You will be involved in delivering high-quality technical advice and supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their property assets.
The Role
As a Building Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking building surveys, condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
Preparing technical reports and schedules of works.
Providing professional building surveying advice to a diverse client base.
Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
Supporting project delivery, including specification and contract administration.
Working with clients, contractors and other consultants to ensure successful project outcomes.
Contributing to the continued growth and development of the London building surveying team.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and property types, providing excellent breadth of experience and long-term career progression.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
Previous experience within a building surveying consultancy environment.
Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
Experience across professional building surveying instructions, with project experience advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage workloads effectively and work to deadlines.
A proactive, client-focused approach.
MRICS qualification is desirable, although candidates working towards chartership will also be considered.
