Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Surveyor to join the Property Services team, providing expert technical support across the Southampton and South Hampshire region. This role plays a key part in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard, while delivering a great service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve day-to-day property maintenance issues raised internally or by customers.
Carry out inspections before, during, and after works to ensure quality and compliance.
Provide detailed specifications, including scope of works, quantities, costs, and timescales.
Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards.
Support in-house trades teams and external contractors to achieve first-time fixes.
Maintain accurate data across property systems and provide insight into asset and investment needs.
Stay up to date with industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement.Skills & Experience
Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance and building pathology.
Understanding of statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements within housing/property services.
Ability to prepare and interpret technical specifications and schedules of work.
Proven experience delivering maintenance/repair programmes within budget and timescales.
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (with strong Excel knowledge).
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required).
Ability to pass a basic DBS check.What's on Offer
