Job Description
Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with an established property and building consultancy who are looking to appoint an APC Building Surveyor to join their Hertfordshire team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor working towards their MRICS qualification to develop their career within a supportive consultancy, working on a diverse range of public sector and education projects.
You will gain valuable exposure across the full building surveying lifecycle, working closely with experienced Chartered Surveyors and a range of public sector clients.
The Role
You will be involved in a varied workload including:
Building surveys and condition reports
Planned maintenance and refurbishment projects
Preparation of specifications and schedules of work
Contract administration
Project management of small to medium-sized works
Defect diagnosis and technical advice
Supporting the delivery of education and public sector projects
Working towards your APC with support from experienced professionals
Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Relevant experience within a building surveying consultancy
Working towards MRICS
Some experience across professional and/or project-based building surveying
Good technical knowledge and understanding of building pathology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in building surveying
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
