Your role is to take that story to market — building new relationships, re-engaging existing ones, and creating opportunities where there is clear potential to grow.
You will shape and sell enterprise technology, managed services, and professional services-led engagements, typically complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities such as:
- Application modernisation
- End-to-end digital workplace design, supply, integration, and management
- Workflow automation and process transformation
- Real-world AI use case development and implementation
- Success in this role comes from your ability to create momentum, lead virtual teams, and deliver outcomes for customers — not just close deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a new business strategy across a largely untapped territory
- Generate pipeline through targeted prospecting, networking, and structured engagement plans
- Identify, re-engage, and grow relationships leveraging SCC’s existing regional footprint
- Engage at CIO / senior leadership level, shaping opportunities through early discovery
- Develop and position enterprise, managed, and professional services solutions aligned to customer outcomes
- Take full ownership of opportunities end-to-end — from creation through to successful close
- Maintain accountability post-sale, ensuring alignment between what is sold, delivered and achieved
- Act as a customer advocate, supporting delivery teams to ensure successful execution and customer confidence
- Lead virtual teams across sales, technical, delivery, and partners to design and deliver complex solutions
- Create alignment, clarity, and shared accountability across stakeholders involved in opportunities
- B uild strong internal and vendor relationships to strengthen propositions and execution
- Represent and promote SCC’s capability, credentials, and success in the region
- Maintain a robust pipeline and forecasting discipline
- Deliver against growth and margin targets
- Make balanced, commercially sound decisions based on what is right for SCC and the customer
Skills And Experience
- Ideally degree educated.
- Full UK Driving License.
- 10 years’ sales experience, which will include circa 5+ years experience working for an IT Services Provider.
- Proven experience in new business sales, ideally within technology, managed services, or professional services.
- Track record of building pipeline and revenue from a cold or white-space territory.
- Experience selling enterprise-scale, complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of managed services, enterprise technology, and professional services-led engagements.
- Experience working in or alongside public sector organisations is highly desirable.
- Established network within the North East public sector ecosystem is advantageous.
