Business Development Manager - FM / M&E Maintenance
PPM Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation in the Manchester area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in M&E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions to play a key role in driving business growth.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing profitable M&E maintenance and technical compliance contracts. The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with key property and facilities stakeholders, and converting opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.
You will be expected to build influential relationships with decision-makers, engage confidently with technical stakeholders, understand client requirements and develop commercially viable solutions.
Key details:
Hybrid working, with regular client and site visits
Head office based in Denton, Manchester
Salary: £60,000-£65,000, depending on experience
Car allowance providedSkills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years' business development experience within commercial M&E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions
Proven track record of winning maintenance contracts valued between £100k and £2m per annum
Established relationships with managing agents and commercial property professionals
Strong technical understanding of M&E maintenance services
Ability to interpret specifications and identify commercial opportunities
Experience conducting site surveys
Experience contributing to pricing strategies and commercial proposals
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong written communication skills
Full UK driving licenceDesirable Experience:
Engineering qualification or previous engineering experience
Experience using Maximo or similar CAFM systems
Experience responding to OJEU/Public Sector tenders
