Our client in the Sheffield area has an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Business Development Manager.You will represent the business, identify, develop and manage new business opportunities with both current customer base, and securing new business opportunities with new customers.

Main Duties Include:

• Make and maintain contact with current customer base and develop good working relations with appropriate contacts.

• Develop and maintain good working relations.

• Oversee orders placed in liaison with the site personnel.

• Pursue new business opportunities to grow the account.

• Make presentations on behalf of the business as and when may be required.

• Prepare and present quotes and proposals for business opportunities.

• Manage the full sales cycle through lead generation, RFQ response, pricing strategy, negotiation and contract close.

• Track industry trends, competitor capabilities and market shifts, etc.,

• Represent the business at trade shows, industry events where required

• Working with other colleagues, ensure the implementation of the company’s policies and goals, including in particular Health & Safety and Quality.

• Attend monthly management meetings to update the team on sales opportunities and developments.

• Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures at all times.

• Treat all colleagues in a professional, fair and empathetic manner.

• Work on your own initiative as required ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective availability of support is available for the business.

• Be flexible to provide colleagues and the business support wherever this may be required.

This is a permanent position where you will be able to work remotely. There will be a requirement from time to time to attend site.

In return you can expect a salary of £35k -£40k plus a company car / car allowance.
