As a Butchery Shop Manager, you'll take ownership of a busy traditional retail environment, combining hands-on butchery expertise with commercial responsibility for sales, standards, stock and your team.

Your responsibilities as Butchery Shop Manager
Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the shop, ensuring consistently high retail standards
Prepare and present meat to an excellent standard while maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays
Drive sales through effective merchandising, product presentation and appropriate upselling
Manage stock levels and ordering while controlling waste and maintaining product availability
Lead and develop the shop team to deliver consistently high standards of service
Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and operational requirements
What we’re looking for in a Butchery Shop Manager
Proven experience within retail butchery, including strong practical butchery skills
Previous experience managing or supervising a busy food retail environment
Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and waste control
A thorough understanding of food hygiene and health and safety requirements
Experience of merchandising, retail presentation and delivering strong sales performance
Working hours: 42 hours per week
