About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Buyer to manage the procurement of Facilities and Estates related goods and services for their operations in Norwich . This role is crucial for ensuring that all aspects of building maintenance, office supplies, utilities, and related services are procured efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of all required items and services. Key Responsibilities
- Procure a wide range of facilities and estates related goods and services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and office supplies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for contracts related to facilities management and maintenance.
- Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier contracts, and expenditures.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a purchasing role, with specific experience in facilities or estates procurement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good understanding of the facilities management sector.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple priorities in Norwich .
