Buyer II

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Buyer II to join their busy procurement department in Liverpool . This role focuses on the day-to-day purchasing of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and budgets. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and resolving procurement-related issues. This position is office-based, offering a collaborative team environment where you can develop your procurement skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of purchasing processes and excellent organizational abilities, contributing directly to the smooth operation of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and create accurate purchase orders for assigned goods and services.
• Communicate with suppliers to expedite orders, track shipments, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information in the procurement system.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory management to ensure adequate supply.
• Assist in obtaining quotes and comparing pricing from various suppliers.
• Support senior buyers and procurement managers with various tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Buyer or purchasing role, ideally 2-3 years.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures and order management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier and internal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
