Buyer - Strategic Sourcing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Buyer to join their established purchasing department in Coventry . This role focuses on strategic sourcing initiatives, contributing to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain. You will work closely with the procurement team to identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, while also managing relationships with existing partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of materials and services essential to the company's operations. Key Responsibilities

• Execute strategic sourcing plans to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms from suppliers.

• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or buyer role.
• Demonstrated ability in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
