Do you have the ability to develop and drive supplier performance, supplier value added initiatives, cost and effective delivery? Do you want a challenging and dynamic purchasing role? Futures is working with a well-renowned industry leading manufacture, located near Leeds, who is looking to appoint a Lead Buyer. This is an excellent company that has a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. We are looking for a Lead Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing and an understanding of fabricated parts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
• Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
• Represent the department in meetings as required
• Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationship

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience buying mechanical components for a manufacturer
• Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
• Experience purchasing parts from suppliers in the Far East preferred
• MRP/ERP experience
