Buyer Location: Dungannon area Salary: £32000-£40000 Our Engineering client requires an experiencedBuyer to join a busy manufacturing environment. While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded purchasing professional to take responsibility for supplier management, stock levels and ensuring continuity of supply to production. The Role Manage purchasing activities to ensure continuity of supply and appropriate stock levels. Negotiate cost, quality and delivery with suppliers to achieve best value. Develop strong supplier relationships and improve supplier performance. Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and purchasing records. Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring goods receipts and invoices are processed accurately. Monitor stock levels and support the Stores team to maintain a lean and efficient inventory. Expedite urgent and critical items to avoid production delays. Support stock takes and initiatives to improve stock accuracy. Work closely with Production, Sales, Stores and Lean teams to identify and resolve material shortages. Assist with implementing Kanban systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure suppliers meet required Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards. Provide procurement data and performance information to management. About You 23+ years' experience in a Buyer or Stores role with purchasing responsibilities, ideally within manufacturing. Strong negotiation, organisation and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Confident working independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Good IT skills, including spreadsheets and purchasing systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet challenging deadlines. GCSE-level Maths and English or equivalent. Desirable Engineering-related qualification. CIPS qualification. Experience within the quarrying or screening industry.
