A Vital Lead Developer Role

We are a small business in Cambridge specialising in simulation software. We look for a C# WPF UI Team Lead with strong coding ability, a focus on productivity and testing, leadership qualities, and experience in a small company.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of 3+ developers, ensuring high‑quality, well‑tested code and on‑time delivery.
• Managing recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.
• Providing and supervising detailed technical training and documentation.
• Collaborating with the engine team lead and aligning development with business priorities.

Technical requirements:

• Strong commercial‑grade C# and WPF UI development skills for .NET 6‑10, .NET Framework 4.8 or .NET Core.
• Some knowledge of C++ desktop UI (MFC) for occasional legacy work.
• Expertise with Windows and Microsoft technologies.
• Ability to translate business priorities into effective team action, delivering on time and quality.
• Experience in technical interview, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring.
• Commitment to detailed technical training and documentation.
• Collaborative approach, working alongside the engine team lead.

Location and work details:

• Cambridge area; full UK work permission required; no visa sponsorship.
• Office within cycling distance of NorthCambridge; on‑site parking available.
