CAD/BIM Manager – Building Services

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CAD/BIM Manager to lead and support the delivery of CAD and BIM standards across a range of building services engineering projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing digital design processes, maintaining company CAD/BIM standards, coordinating models and drawings, and supporting engineering teams to deliver accurate, coordinated and high-quality project information.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain company-wide CAD and BIM standards, procedures and workflows.
*
Oversee the production and coordination of 2D drawings and 3D BIM models across MEP projects.
*
Provide technical support and guidance to engineers, technicians and design teams.
*
Manage BIM coordination and ensure models are developed and maintained to the required project standards.
*
Develop and maintain Revit families, templates, project standards and content libraries.
*
Carry out model and drawing audits to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance.
*
Coordinate mechanical, electrical and public health models with other disciplines.
*
Support clash detection and resolution throughout the design process.
*
Ensure project information is produced in accordance with relevant BIM standards, client requirements and project protocols.
*
Assist with the implementation and development of BIM processes, including information management and common data environments.
*
Provide training and mentoring to staff on CAD/BIM software, standards and best practices.
*
Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors and external consultants to resolve technical and coordination issues.
*
Support project teams with the preparation and delivery of models, drawings, schedules and other technical information.
*
Keep up to date with developments in BIM technology, software and industry standards.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Proven experience in a CAD/BIM management or senior BIM coordination role, preferably within building services or MEP consultancy.
*
Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
*
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary MEP models.
*
Good knowledge of BIM standards, workflows and information management.
*
Experience with clash detection and model coordination.
*
Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and relevant UK BIM practices.
*
Experience developing BIM standards, templates, families and workflows.
*
Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to document and information management.
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians and external project teams.

The ability to train, mentor and support colleagues in the effective use of CAD/BIM systems.

A proactive approach to improving digital design processes and project delivery.
