Job Description
New opportunity for a CAD Designer on a minimum 12-month term contract in the water treatment sector. This is a newly created contract to support the Project Design team in an assortment of high-value projects, providing services to some of the leading Tier 1 companies in the water sector.
This contract offers full remote working, outside IR35, pay rate circa to £380 to £450 per day with a minimum 12-month term.
The CAD Designer will be supporting a number of both water and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Developing conceptual designs into CAD drawings for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure using AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks & other relevant CAD software. Producing BOM's to enable specifications, calculations and component selection to be undertaken by others. Taking responsibility for conceptual designs and tender preparation documents Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Project Design team in full MEICA to create, update & manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements & industry standards. Including the production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, and piping drawings) for the water treatment sector.In return, the CAD Designer will require:
Previous CAD experience in 2D and 3D CAD software. Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD Degree, HND or HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering Experience with creating P&ID & layout drawings within the UK water/wastewater sector is essential. Experience working in the UK Water Industry with knowledge of water/wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated mechanical, electrical, and piping systems (MEP). Experience in producing designs for below-ground (infrastructure) water assets, such as treatment works, pumping stations, and pipeline networks.Salary/Benefits:
Daily Rate £380 to £450 dependant on industry experience
Outside IR35 - Limited Company set up required with insurances
Minimum 12 month contract
Working fully remote
