Capital Projects Manager

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a highly competent Capital Projects Manager to oversee the development and execution of major capital investment projects in Edinburgh . This senior role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and business case development through to construction completion and handover. You will be key to ensuring that significant infrastructure and facility investments are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget, contributing to the continued development of Edinburgh .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of a portfolio of capital projects, ensuring strategic alignment and successful outcomes.
• Develop detailed project plans, financial models, risk assessments, and procurement strategies.
• Manage relationships with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant legislation, health and safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and control project costs effectively.
• Provide clear and concise reporting on project status, risks, and financial performance to senior leadership.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in managing large-scale capital projects, preferably in real estate, infrastructure, or construction.
• A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, procurement, and risk management.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in managing significant project budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
