Care Assistant - Elderly Support

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, in a respectful manner.
• Help with domestic chores, including light cleaning, laundry, and preparing nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities they enjoy.
• Administer medication as per care plans, following all safety guidelines.
• Monitor and report any changes in a client's health or well-being to the line manager.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of mobility aids.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar caregiving role is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
• A strong commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain necessary certifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within clients' homes.
