Care Assistant / Support Worker

Role Overview

We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants and Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in care homes and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care while promoting dignity, privacy and independence.
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care.
• Support with mobility, transfers and use of moving and handling equipment.
• Assist with meals and drinks and promote good nutrition and hydration.
• Support with medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other care needs.
• Encourage participation in activities and community engagement.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour, mood or wellbeing.
• Identify and report concerns such as falls, pressure damage, safeguarding issues or deterioration in health.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
• Complete accurate daily care records and handover information.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Work professionally with colleagues, families and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• Previous UK care experience is preferred.
• Caring, compassionate and patient approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Relevant care training is desirable.
• DBS check required.
