A care home on the outskirts of Ayr in Maybole is currently recruiting an experienced Care Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Details of this Care Assistant vacancy:
- Permanent contract working 22–44 hours per week
- Day or night shifts available
- Competitive pay of £13.45 per hour
- Potential to earn up to £30,773.60 per annum

As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to service users, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. You will also work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers to support the smooth running of the service.
What we are looking for in a Care Assistant:
- Previous experience working as a Care Assistant is essential
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing high standards of care
- Care Certificate, SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent is preferred
Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship or visa switch available).
Willingness to undertake a PVG check.
