About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Care Home Manager to lead their well-established facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of the care home's operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care standards, managing staff effectively, and maintaining regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive environment for residents, fostering a positive culture for the care team, and liaising with families and external stakeholders. This is a critical leadership position for someone passionate about elder care and committed to excellence in Stoke-on-Trent .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and resident well-being.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the care team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and legislation, including CQC requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for the care home.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, staff, and external agencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a care home management or senior leadership role within a care setting.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care Management, RGN).
- In-depth knowledge of elderly care , dementia care, and associated best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in staff management, financial oversight, and regulatory compliance.
