Care Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Care Team Leader to join their dedicated team in Derby . In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals within their homes and community, acting as a senior point of contact for the care team and clients. You will be responsible for supervising junior care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and contributing to the development and implementation of care plans. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support.
• Assist with the implementation and review of individual care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and effective.
• Oversee the daily operations of the care team, managing schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
• Conduct client assessments and contribute to the development of care packages.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide direct care to clients when required, demonstrating high standards of practice.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a caregiving role, with at least one year in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Excellent understanding of care standards, safeguarding policies, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess needs, plan, and implement care solutions effectively.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
