Job Title

Casual Tutor – Maths and English (part‑time)

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted support in Maths and English, helping students build confidence and close gaps in learning.
• Assist English tutors in delivering focused intervention and high‑quality academic support aligned with Eduqas and AQA English Language specifications.
• Play a vital role in ensuring learning remains engaging, purposeful, and impactful.

Qualifications & Expectations

• Enthusiastic about Maths or English and able to build positive relationships with young people.
• Committed to maintaining high expectations in a supportive learning environment.
• Dedicated, passionate, caring, and inspiring in approach to teaching.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a comprehensive school setting.

Requirements

• Must possess a strong academic background in Maths or English.
• Applicants will be required to apply for enhanced disclosure from the DBS and to support the school's safeguarding and child‑welfare commitments.
