This critical role focuses on driving category growth and profitability by understanding consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and competitor activity. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that align with overarching business objectives, working closely with brand, sales, and shopper marketing teams to deliver impactful results. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to drive growth, market share, and profitability.
- Conduct in-depth market, consumer, and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including new product introductions and delisting of underperforming items.
- Collaborate with the insights and analytics team to leverage data for informed decision-making.

Requirements
- Significant experience in a Category Manager or similar role within the FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret market data, consumer insights, and financial reports.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing category growth plans.
- Excellent understanding of the retail landscape in the Newcastle upon Tyne region and beyond.
- Proficiency in category management software and MS Office Suite.
