About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Category Manager with expertise in Raw Materials to lead strategic sourcing initiatives from Brighton . This role demands a deep understanding of global commodity markets, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional negotiation skills to secure optimal supply agreements. You will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies that drive cost savings, ensure supply continuity, and mitigate risks for critical raw materials essential to the company's manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for key raw material commodities.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes for all raw material procurements.
- Analyze market intelligence, cost drivers, and supplier performance to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Manage supplier relationships to foster innovation, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor global supply chain dynamics and implement contingency plans to ensure supply security.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, with a specialization in raw materials.
- Proven success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings in commodity markets.
- In-depth knowledge of global raw material supply chains and market trends.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; CIPS or MBA preferred.
