About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and commercially astute Category Manager to join their dynamic team in Sunderland , focusing on key product categories within the FMCG market. This role is crucial for driving category growth, profitability, and market share by developing and executing effective category strategies. You will work closely with suppliers, the sales team, and other internal departments to optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual category plans, setting clear objectives for sales, market share, and profitability.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, brand management, or a related commercial role within the FMCG sector.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful category strategies that drive commercial success.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using retail analytics software and standard office productivity tools.
