Catering Assistant - Banqueting & Events

About the Role

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Catering Assistants to join their team for banqueting and events in the Derby area. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during events, assisting with food and beverage service, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Key Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests at events.
• Assist with table setting, clearing, and maintaining the tidiness of dining areas.
• Prepare and replenish buffet stations as required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and inquiries.
• Adhere to all food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality or catering.
• A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events.
