Catering Assistant - Events

About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Catering Assistants to join their team for various events in and around Brighton . This role involves providing excellent service to guests at functions, weddings, and corporate events, ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will be responsible for serving food and beverages, setting up event spaces, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, eager to contribute to the success of diverse events and gain experience in the dynamic hospitality sector of East Sussex .

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently and courteously during events.
• Set up event areas, including arranging tables, decorations, and serving stations.
• Clear tables, replenish supplies, and maintain a tidy service area.
• Assist with basic food preparation and presentation as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all hygiene and safety regulations during service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry trays.
