Catering Assistant - West Midlands Hospice

Contract type: Permanent, 21.5 hours per week Working pattern: Flexible working schedule, to be discussed at interview Shifts are typically between 7:00am to 3:00pm or 11:00pm to 7:00pm. The role is worked on a rota basis across Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays. Salary and enhancements:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2: £25,272 per annum, pro rata, with enhanced pay rates for Sunday and Bank Holiday hours, including an additional payment of up to 83% of the basic hourly rate. Location:Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice, Solihull. Essential Criteria: Experience or knowledge of working within a catering department or kitchen environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment. Awareness of health and safety requirements in the workplace. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Strong customer service and presentation skills. Flexible approach to work and working patterns. Desirable Criteria: Basic Food Handling Certificate NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (or willingness to work towards this qualification). Experience working within a healthcare setting.
