About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join their team in Derby . You will provide essential support to the catering team, assisting with food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Serve food and beverages to customers during events or in dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment, following strict hygiene protocols.
• Set up and clear tables, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Manage stock rotation and assist with inventory checks as directed.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to client needs promptly and politely.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
