About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and helpful Catering Assistant to support their catering operations in Liverpool . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth running of events and daily catering services, assisting chefs and service staff with a variety of tasks. You will be involved in food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and customer service, contributing to the overall success of the catering team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas, including washing dishes and equipment.
• Support the serving staff during events, ensuring food and beverages are replenished and presented well.
• Set up and clear down catering areas for events, ensuring efficient setup and breakdown.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Provide general assistance to the catering team as needed to ensure smooth service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and take on various tasks within the catering team.
• Good understanding of basic hygiene and food safety principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
