Catering Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to support their events team in Bristol . In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks including food preparation, serving guests, setting up and clearing event spaces, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic catering environment. You will work closely with the catering team to ensure events run smoothly and guests have a positive experience, contributing to the overall success of each occasion through diligent work and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during events in a polite and efficient manner.
• Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and buffet displays.
• Clear tables, dispose of waste, and maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, ensuring they are clean and stored properly.
• Support the catering team with any other duties as required to ensure event success.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
