Catering Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Catering Assistant to provide support across various events and services in the Bristol area. You will assist with food preparation, serving, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for guests. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, enjoy working in a team, and are keen to contribute to the smooth running of catering operations, potentially with some remote coordination for planning aspects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food items, including sandwiches, salads, and buffet arrangements.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during events, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of serving areas, kitchen, and dining spaces.
• Support with setting up and breaking down event spaces, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Manage stock levels for consumables and report any shortages to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is advantageous.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
