Causal Catering Assistant

Salary £13.45 per hour. Casual hours per week. Various areas in South Ribble and surrounding areas.

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join the service.

You will work as part of a team in various areas in South Ribble and surrounding areas providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages
• Clean all equipment and catering areas

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
• Good customer care skills
• Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable

Working Hours/Days

• Casual hours, offered
• Must have a driving licence and use of a car
