Catering Event Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Catering Event Coordinator to join their team in Belfast . This role is central to ensuring the successful planning and execution of all catered events, from initial client contact through to post-event follow-up. You will liaise with clients to understand their needs, coordinate with the catering team to finalize arrangements, and manage on-site logistics to guarantee a seamless experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong communication skills to thrive in a client-facing role within the dynamic catering industry, working in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through menu selection and event planning.
• Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).
• Coordinate with kitchen, service staff, and external suppliers to ensure all event requirements are met.
• Manage event timelines, ensuring timely delivery of all services and adherence to schedules.
• Oversee event setup, service flow, and breakdown, ensuring a flawless client experience.
• Handle client inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, or after an event.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event coordination, preferably within the catering or hospitality sector.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
