Catering Event Manager (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Catering Event Manager to oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, operating in a fully remote capacity supporting clients across the UK. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, managing their event from initial consultation through to successful completion, ensuring seamless delivery of catering services. This role demands exceptional communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate logistics effectively without direct physical oversight, fostering strong client relationships and exceeding expectations through remote collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand event requirements, budgets, and expectations for catering services.
• Develop detailed event proposals, including menus, staffing plans, and logistical arrangements.
• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and venue managers to ensure smooth event execution.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each event.
• Oversee on-site (remotely coordinated) catering teams to ensure high standards of service and food quality.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events and implement swift, effective solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management , preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and suppliers remotely.
• Proficiency in event management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively.
