About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organised Catering Manager with a specialization in events to oversee all catering services for various functions and events in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless execution from client consultation and menu planning to on-site service delivery. This role requires a meticulous approach to logistics, exceptional client relationship management, and a keen eye for detail to uphold our client's reputation for excellence in event catering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of event catering operations, from initial client inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Develop bespoke menus and proposals tailored to client needs and event specifications.
• Supervise and train catering staff, ensuring professional and efficient service delivery during events.
• Oversee event logistics, including staffing, equipment, transportation, and setup/breakdown.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure quality and timely delivery of all catering supplies.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and service quality throughout all events.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Catering Manager or Events Manager, preferably within the events industry.
• Excellent understanding of event planning, logistics, and client management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to create appealing and cost-effective menus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to various event venues.
