About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Catering Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of their catering services in Coventry . This role involves ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality food and beverage services for a range of events and functions. You will be responsible for client liaison, menu planning, budget management, and leading a dedicated catering team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong operational and client-facing skills, driving excellence in every event catered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all catering operations, ensuring efficient service delivery from planning to execution for various events.
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, provide quotations, and tailor menus and services accordingly.
- Develop and manage budgets, controlling costs for food, labour, and supplies while maximizing profitability.
- Supervise, train, and schedule catering staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, food safety, and health and safety across all catering activities.
- Source and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating best prices and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Catering Management or similar supervisory role within the hospitality or events industry.
- Excellent customer service and client relationship management skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively in a demanding environment.
- Proficiency in event planning and logistics management.
