About the Role
Our client is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Catering Manager to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for the smooth operation of all catering services, ensuring client satisfaction and profitability. You will manage event logistics, coordinate with suppliers, lead service teams, and maintain impeccable standards throughout all events. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of catering events, from initial client consultation to final execution.
- Manage and schedule catering staff, ensuring adequate coverage and high service standards.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure all event requirements are met or exceeded.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee the procurement of food, beverages, and equipment.
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to across all catering operations.
- Handle client feedback and resolve any issues that may arise during events promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Catering Manager or similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of catering operations, event planning, and food service management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
