About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Catering Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of their daily catering services. This role is essential for ensuring that all events are supplied with the correct equipment, staffing, and logistical support needed for success. You will be the key point of contact for coordinating between the kitchen, sales team, and event staff, ensuring clear communication and timely execution of plans. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling staff, confirming deliveries, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team to confirm menus, timings, and special requirements for each event.
- Assist in managing inventory of catering supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Prepare and distribute event documentation, such as staffing manifests and run sheets, to relevant teams.
- Liaise with clients and vendors to confirm event details and address any operational queries.
- Provide administrative support to the catering operations management team.
Requirements
- Proven organizational and logistics coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Previous experience in event coordination or administration is a plus.
