Catering Operations Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Catering Operations Coordinator to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of all catering events, from initial booking to final service delivery. You will be the key point of contact for clients and internal teams, managing logistics, resources, and schedules to guarantee exceptional service quality. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and execution of all assigned catering events, ensuring all client requirements are met.
• Liaise with clients to confirm event details, menu selections, dietary needs, and service times.
• Manage catering staff schedules, assignments, and pre-event briefings to ensure adequate coverage and readiness.
• Oversee inventory management for catering supplies, equipment, and ingredients, coordinating orders as needed.
• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely food preparation and presentation according to event specifications.
• Provide on-site support during events as needed, troubleshooting any issues that may arise to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Catering Coordination , Event Management, or a similar role.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with catering or event management software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including potential weekend and evening work as required by events.
