Catering Supervisor - Corporate Events

About the Role

Our client is looking for an organized and proactive Catering Supervisor to oversee the delivery of catering services for corporate clients in and around Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations during events, managing a team of catering staff, and maintaining high standards of service and presentation. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to client satisfaction. You will be a key point of contact for clients on event days, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure all food and beverages are prepared, presented, and served according to company standards.
• Manage stock and inventory for events, ensuring adequate supplies and minimal waste.
• Liaise with clients on-site to address any immediate needs or issues.
• Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Train and mentor junior catering staff, providing clear instructions and support.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or catering industry.
• Strong understanding of event catering operations and service standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with clients and staff.
